WHAT: This coming Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 6:30 PM is the first annual "Christmas in Cleveland" Christmas parade, visit with Santa, and Tree lighting event.
COACHES, PARENTS, AND PLAYERS: We need coaches, parents, and players to come dressed in their sport uniforms and / or holiday dress and to bring a bag of candy to hand out to viewers along the parade route. We will need some volunteers to hold our GCAA Sports banners and others to hand out GCAA Sports fliers. We encourage all GCAA Sports programs, teams, and groups to organize and join us.
SHOW VEHICLES: We need volunteers with "Show Vehicles" who are willing to come and participate. Ideally, we'd like these vehicles to be decorated in a Christmas theme. These vehicles will run in the parade both ahead and behind the coaches, parents, and players marching in the parade. If your vehicle is outfitted with spot lights to shine on the kids marching ahead or behind you and/or a loud stereo or speaker system to play Christmas music and recorded announcements about our Sports Programs, that would be an added bonus. If you have such a vehicle and are willing to participate in this event with us, PLEASE contact us at the email listed below.
SETUP PLACE AND TIME: We are encouraging all GCAA Sport programs to join with us to not only attend the event but to march in the parade. We will be setting up along McLemore Rd as indicated in the map below starting at 6:00 PM. Traffic will be stopped at around 6:50 for the parade to begin at 7:00 PM.
